Our Story

Our studio began with a love of illustration, the natural world, and the simple act of putting pen to paper. What started at a kitchen table has grown into a thoughtful design practice focused on creating stationery and paper goods that feel personal, timeless, and connected to place.

Alongside our own collections, we carry a growing selection of goods from women-led, sustainably minded small brands that share our love of thoughtful design, quality materials, and everyday beauty.

Our Philosophy

Our designs draw inspiration from wild landscapes, native flora, and the quiet beauty found everywhere from gardens to mountaintops. Each piece is meant to bring a simple sense of joy and beauty to everyday life.

Thoughtful Materials

We believe materials matter.

Our paper goods are printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper and paired with tree-free envelopes whenever possible. Our totes are made with organic cotton, and we work closely with small, trusted production partners, many of them local.

Giving back is also part of our work. We support California-based environmental organizations and conservation efforts that help protect the landscapes and ecosystems that inspire our designs.

Our Studio

The studio is based in Thousand Oaks, California and led by designer Lesley Goren.

Originally founded as Lesley Goren Studio, we became Poppyfields in 2026—a new name for our growing collection of nature-inspired goods and thoughtfully curated products from artists and small brands that share our values.

Each collection begins with careful observation of the natural world and a focus on thoughtful design, quality materials, and responsible production.

The work is developed through a hands-on studio practice, shaped by collaboration, a strong sense of community, and a belief in sharing knowledge about the landscapes and plants that inspire each piece.
